Welcome to the Port Moresby Institute of Matriculation Studies (PIMS). PIMS is a nationally founded and private secondary educational institution which was first established in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea in 1996. The institution's overall mission is to Provide alternate and second–chance opportunities to school leaver 'dropouts' who have been pushed out of the mainstream education system to continue and complete their formal or non – formal secondary Education

In support of our mission, PIMS pursues an integrated, disciplinary approach to enhance education. A broad range of courses is offered, from Grade 7 formal and informal to Grade 12 Upgrading and Adult Matriculation. A large potion of these courses are offered on fulltime (classroom contact) as well as through Correspondence (Distance Learning). In keeping with a commitment to provide an effective learning environment, PIMS is active in teaching aimed at developing students with the neccessary foundation knowledge for future advancements.
